With the introduction of the new Dolce & Gabbana collection entitled King’s Angels it seems that famous Sicilian fashion house decided to heavily step into the stage of the designer streetwear.
Dolce & Gabbana fashion show was traditionally inspired by the Italian culture, yet this time we saw a transition between subtle formal elegance and statement streetwear. Formal looks were interpreted in the best practices of the Italian style. Bright exquisite details with refined luxury easily projected Dolce & Gabbana aesthetics. Whereas tones of burgundy, royal blue and black dominated defined the kings, but what about the angels?
Angels, on the other hand, were brought to the runway by the streetwear looks. Equally royal shades and rich patterns of velvet and silk, yet completely bold statement details and shapes. The collection presented a variation of tracksuits, sweatshirts, bomber jackets and backpacks. Sportswear pieces were embroidered with traditional Italian art, which is why this collection brought a fresh perspective to the stage of designer streetwear and helped Dolce & Gabbana successfully step into the game with the famous fashion houses. It seems that angels were the real kings of this fashion show.
